The Chair
During my 2022-2023 school year at Parsons School of Design, the teachers, i, went on strike while negotiating their new contracts with the school board. The creation of 'Solidarity, 2023' was in support of my professors. I eventually included the sculptor's influence in my final collection.
Installation
I've always approached the displaying of clothing as a sacred act, influenced by fashion design principles, which shape how it is initially perceived and registered in one's mind.
The Clothes
Often started with a feeling rather than texture or color, I frequently look to tell stories through my work, stories I've learned or sometimes ones I've lived.
